Passport
Your original passport with a validity of at least 6 months after the expiry date of your visa.
It is also important that your passport contains at least 2 empty visa pages that are opposite each other.
Photograph
An official, color passport photo that meets the following conditions:
- The photo is less than 3 months old
- The background is white or light gray in color
- The dimensions are 3.5 x 4.5 cm
- There are no damages to the passport photo
- The passport photo is not stapled to the visa application form
- The person in the photo is looking straight into the camera
- No glasses are worn in the photo
Important information
We recommend that you combine a printout of your e-Visa with your passport before traveling to your destination.
Save the application (or email) of your e-Visa. This way you do not have to enter it again if you would travel to the same destination again.
What is the Turkey visa?
If you want to travel to Turkey, you must have a travel document and visa Turkey and bring it with you when traveling. The travel document can be a passport or an ID card. There are a number of requirements for this, which are explained on this page. The requirements depend on the country of issue of the travel document. For example, it is possible for residents of certain countries to travel with an ID card, while residents of other countries are only allowed to travel with a passport with sufficient validity. What are the variants for the Turkey visa?
The most common visa is the electronic visa, which is intended for tourist and business travelers. In addition, there is also the physical visa, this visa is intended for people who want to work, study, media and truck drivers in Turkey.
Processing time, visa validity and costs
The cost and processing time for the visa depends on the type of visa you choose.
Despite the long visa validity period of 180 days, you can only stay in Turkey for 90 days with the Turkish visa. This can be a continuous period, but you can also cut this period of up to 90 days. You can arrive an unlimited number of times in Turkey with your Turkey visa. So you can stay in Turkey once for 90 days, or 90 times one day, and everything in between. All these trips must be made within the 180-day validity period. The validity period applies to the entire trip, so not only every arrival must be before the 180th day, but also the last departure from Turkey.
The electronic visa costs only € 39.50, including VAT per person. With this visa you can travel to Turkey for both tourist and business purposes.
