Passport

Your original passport (and a copy) with a validity of at least 6 months after the expiry date of your visa.

Your passport also needs to contain at least 2 empty, facing, visa pages.

Photo

A colour photo with a white background. The size of the photo need to be 3.5 x 4.5cm.

Your teeth must not be visible on the photo.

Guarantee of Finances

For travellers who are in paid employment, an employer’s statement on the employer’s letterheaded paper. This statement must include the following points:

• The full name of the traveller
• The passport number of the traveller
• The arrival and departure date
• The amount of entries
• The monthly income
• The visa type/ reason for travel
• The name and signature of the signatory

For travellers who are self employed:

• An English Chamber of Commerce extract with the name of the traveller
• A copy of the last VAT return from the Tax Authorities (Belastingdienst)

For travellers who are retired or unemployed:

• A copy of the last bank statement on which the name of the traveller is visible + a balance of at least €6000

For travellers who are student:

• A signed letter from the school on letterheaded paper. The letter must confirm the student is enrolled
• The letter must also confirm the student is travelling to China

Flight confirmation

A return ticket to China on which the name of the traveller is visible.

Hotel Reservation

A hotel reservation which mentions the name of the traveller

China consent form

A signed Chinese Consent form for the embassy.

Visa application form

A fully completed and printed visa application form with the original signature of the traveller. Please note that it is very important that you answer all the questions on the form correctly to avoid a delay in the processing time of your visa.
